[ She is literally in the next room over because she is a LOSER. So it only takes her a few seconds to carefully open the door and pop her head in. ]

[She'll catch a glimpse of Aki wrapping a little box up with a pink ribbon before she notices a person peeking in. As soon as she sees who it is, she smiles.]

So you were next door, Peachan.

[Doesn't think thatt's weird at all that she was sending notes while that close. After that thing with Jin. After KNOWING someone like Jin, her tolerance is high.

Her hands are behind her back.]

Okay. Guess which hand.

No! I just happened to be here! [ Peach waves her hands in little circles. She was obviously next door... WOW IS THAT A PRESENT. Oh boy oh boy. She loves getting presents from friends. ]

Um... Right! [ Since people often held things with their right hand, right? It's the obvious answer to her. ]

[She was obviously next door.... BUT AKI DOESN'T MENTION IT BECAUSE PRESENT TIME.

And no matter what she picked she was going to hand it over so she holds out the small box.]

[but her choice makes for a fun play on words]

I saw these in a shop the other day and thought of you.

[ Don't squeal yet, Peach. She's trying not to flail, but her eyes tell Aki everything. ]

May I open it?

[She blinks, surprised, and then smiles wryly]

I'd be disappointed if you didn't. Go ahead!

[WAITS FOR REACTION because a couple of these hella cute things are inside.]

[ opens the box and sQUEALS. She doesn't know what these are but they are hella cute, it's true. ]

Oh! Oh, thank you, Aki! [ She gives the girl a hug before admiring the hair ties. ] What are they? Bracelets?

[ She wears one on her wrist, then three more. ]

[She's a LITTLE shocked by the hug since it's so out of the blue and she doesn't have time to return it but the pleased smile on her face is enough of a sign that she didn't mind it at all.

Or the soft laughter that suddenly bubbles from her mouth when she uses them as bracelets. Yeah, they could be pretty cute bracelets too, she guesses.]

No, not bracelets.

[So she grabs one left in the box and scoots over to sit behind Peach, brushing her fingers through her bright hair and then braiding it.]

They're for your hair.

[Once she's done she wraps the little accesory around the end a few times and shows it off.]

We were talking about rabbit pajamas before but these sort of look like ears, don't they?

[ Peach blushes (because what an embarrassing mistake to make) and stays still as Aki braids and ties her hair—something she's always wanted to do with another girl. She's living the dream. ]

Yes... [ Her eyes sparkle as she examines the hair tie holding her hair together. It's cute, but what Peach is really happy about isn't that. ]

But why, Aki? Is there something special today?

Eh?

[She shifts back around to sit in front of Peach.]

Not that I know of. Maybe that it's been over a month since we met?

[She remembers that kind of stuff.]

I just wanted to buy them for you since I like you.

[ Peach turns as pink as her namesake as she places a hand on her chest. ]

Me? You like me?

[ She's in disbelief. Emil said he liked her too, but Aki was a girl and Peach has never had a female friend before. She'd always assumed she wasn't good enough. But Aki even remembered how long they've known each other! It's great news to Peach—she's been keeping track, too. ]

[For some reason, Aki thinks that someone liking her is kind of a rare things for Peach. It's probably that reaction of hers but she's struck to disbelief too because Peach is so cute and nice who wouldn't like her??

She knows what to do.]

[And she takes up Peach's hands from her chest and holds them in her own.]

Peachan, please hang out with me today so we can spend time together as friends.

[ How else is she supposed to answer that but with a smile? She holds Aki's hands tightly as she beams. ]

[ Hanging out with a girl for the first time, kyaa. ]

[Kyaaa. Peachan is so easy to get along with.

The two dorks just grin at each other until Aki finally regains her head and starts leading her to their sliding door.]

Do you think we're able to move our futons to different rooms? We can have a sleepover, too.

[She lives right next door but whatever ~SLEEPOVER~]

I don't think anyone will mind. [ She's a loner, Dottie. A rebel. Peach takes the box of hairties in her hands and follows. ] We must have it in my room! All of us are girls there. Do we need anything else?

[ She's just really excited. ]

Mn, Jin-kun and Kai-san are the only boys in this room but I like the idea of no boys allowed. [fufu] I agree, let's have it in your room.

[She might be a wife but she's still a teenager. Jin will just have to deal without her for one night. He'll be okay, won't he? She's just next door... if he complains. If he can't handle it.]

We'll need things to do of course. It's been a while since I've had a sleepover and I don't think playing house at our age is the norm.

[ Peach slowly blinks at Aki as if she had said something strange. ]

Peach plays house at her age? IS IT OKAY? Granted, she seemed younger. But Aki always thought she was too old for it since the girls at school never talked about it. Hell, she wouldn't mind playing house either if that was the plan. She basically did with Jin in their cabin in SAO. They had a daughter and everything.

Maybe that's why she took to being Mama so easily. A lot of practice.

INNER CONFLICT as she rolls up her futon.]

Oh, wonderful! [ Peach claps her hands together. She looks so happy, Aki. Aren't you glad? ] Then I can be the wife that has to overcome the various trials her disapproving and overbearing mother-in-law puts her through. That's you.
